Hi,
I’m one of the developers of Awn. I’m sorry you had a difficult time installing the dock. We’re always working on our documentation - particularly on our wiki , where we have a fairly thorough installation guide for both Awn and our sister project, Awn Extras . Awn Extras contains, among other things, a set of applets similar to those for the Gnome Panel that enhance the dock beyond just a launcher and task manager.

Additionally, we recently released version 0.2.6 of Awn/Awn Extras, which contains many bug fixes and new features, so be sure to install them as soon as you can.

I hope you enjoy your future use of Awn!
